Great to meet you!

Difficulties and unresolved trauma from our past can influence our present in ways unknown to us. Our mind is very good at hiding our wounds from itself, and when this occurs, it can hijack our ability to experience life with curiosity, trust, and flexibility. Over the past 25 years of my practice in Colorado, I have found profound meaning in helping clients navigate these unseen hurdles. As a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned my degree from Naropa University, it is a true privilege to help adults, seniors, and couples establish a safe, empowering baseline for their care. I work with clients who are experiencing problems that are typically long-standing, repetitive, and significantly interfering with their life, specializing heavily in trauma, complex PTSD, dissociation, anxiety, and depression. Whether you are living with emotional pain, chronic shame, or disconnection from yourself, I look forward to walking alongside you on your path toward healing, helping you fully embody your true self.

My approach to therapy

I believe that psychotherapy is an effective way to heal and live courageously, and that genuine emotional growth blossoms when we balanc eeffective clinical practices with deeply relational, authentic connection. My approach creates a safe, trusting environment to support clients as they experience aspects and parts of their inner life that have been hidden. I integrate several contemporary orientations tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, primarily utilizing EMDR and (IFS) Internal Family Systems, along with somatic body-brain approaches. Working together, we will focus on tracing your difficulties back to their historical origins to gain clarity about their underlying sources—not just intellectually, but emotionally as well. By blending these experiential methods, we will outline tangible goals to help you notice the patterns that have kept you stuck, creating space for healthier choices, safer relationships, rebuilding your internal resources, and empowering coping skills to live courageously with the realities of your life.

What you can expect from me

Reaching out for support can take immense courage, and my hope is that our time together acts as a quiet refuge where you can safely step away from the heavy demands of daily stress. Whether we meet in person at my office or online, I strive to cultivate a calm, non-judgmental environment right from the start. We will explore your early life history, current issues, and the specific challenges and patterns that brought you to therapy at a natural, comfortable pace without any pressure to have all the answers. I approach my work with warmth, empathy, curiosity, and a deep respect for people’s differences. My priority is ensuring you feel fully heard and validated as we collaboratively create a clear roadmap tailored to your goals, ensuring you leave our first meeting inspired to create a meaningful life and future.
