Great to meet you!

My name is Suzanne Pallas, LMSW, LCSW and I am a Christian Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing psychotherapy via in person & telehealth in Arizona. I have been in the field of Social Work for the last 25 years and have become passionate about providing clinically competent and sound counseling and therapy for the last 10 years. I desire to build trusting relationships with my clients and offer a place to safely sort through what may be weighing them down, feeling stuck. My clinical focus has been on depression, anxiety, trauma (PTSD), life transitions (ie grief, aging concerns, retirement, break up) and general relationship challenges (ie family / marital conflict).

I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychologyfrom Azusa Pacific University and Master of Social Work degree from Arizona State University in 1998. I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2017 and have practiced in a variety of settings including inpatient psychiatric hospital, crisis intervention, medical social work, foster care and adoption, community mental health, school based services and private practice.

My approach to therapy

I approach clients with compassion and respect to provide a place for clients to sort through the thoughts and feelings of life stressors and struggles. I approach clients with warmth, solution oriented and gently challenging when it can be beneficial. I seek to provide insights and feedback in a non-judgemental way for growth. I am trained in EMDR & use a strengths based framework woven into interventions from CBT, DBT, & Solution-Focused modalities.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a trusting, comfortable relationship. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from our time together. You’ll have the opportunity to share at your own pace, ask questions, and discuss any concerns you may have about the therapy process.

You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself. Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals and exploring how therapy can best support you.
