Great to meet you!

I received my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology in 2013 with additional certification/training in Substance Use counseling, trauma, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have 13 years of experience providing therapy to adolescents and adults who have experienced relationship/life stressors, trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use issues and have worked in schools, inpatient facilities, crisis centers, outpatient programs, and private practice.

My approach to therapy

Using cognitive-behavioral strategies and existential theory, I help individuals build resiliency to the complex challenges life presents and disrupt the patterns in their behaviors and relationships that are causing pain or suffering, working towards wellness in all areas of their lives. Through the process of exploring your values and purpose in life, you can begin to maximize your ability to resolve difficult situations with your own unique and innate strengths and abilities.

What you can expect from me

I believe that the most important work in therapy occurs between therapy sessions when real life is happening. Therefore, I want you to leave the session with something that you can take away and begin to apply in your life, in the form of a skill or a shift in mindset or feeling.
