Suzanya Husing

Suzanya Husing is a (NCC) nationally certified, (LPC) licensed professional counselor with her master’s in clinical mental health counseling. She enjoys working with individuals, couples, families and groups. Her therapeutic approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy, emotionally focused therapy, trauma therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, grief counseling, faith-based counseling, solution focused therapy, and Gottman marriage counseling techniques to name a few. Suzanya regularly engages in trainings and certifications to provide evidence-based methods to her clients.

Suzanya’s approach to therapy is to identify the needs of her clients and provide tools, empathy, and challenge to allow for growth and healing in their difficulties.

At a first session with Suzanya, she will spend time hearing and identifying what the client’s goals are, share what to anticipate in therapy under her care, gather understanding of the client's historical context, begin determining what tools would benefit the client, and provide a warm inviting space for clients to feel safe. Her goal initially is to determine if she is a good fit for them and to begin developing a therapeutic relationship with her clients. A first session is a combination of collecting information and developing a plan.
