Great to meet you!

Congrats for choosing you! You deserve it. I have had the honor of supporting individuals maneuvering feelings of anxiousness, depressive, grief, life transitions, psychosis, as well as trauma and stress related concerns in the outpatient nonprofit, government, telehealth, and renal care fields.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy uses Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Mindfulness-Based, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered, Strength-based, and EMDR. I lean heavily toward the Humanistic approach- Person-centered, focused on the unique personal experience. (Humanistic principles support individuals with respect and dignity and recognize individualistic needs and potential for growth.)

What you can expect from our first session

The first meeting is for you to consider choosing me to support your goals/support to identify goals during your journey. Building rapport, what "therapy" means to you, getting to know you, and how I can support your "why". I am interviewing for an opportunity to engage in a therapeutic space with you, which is an honor. Along with the standard review of the consent, scheduling, and safety introductory statements.
