Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Swapomthi. Beginning therapy can feel like a leap into the unknown, but it can also be one of the most meaningful steps you take toward healing and growth. I believe that therapy is not about “fixing” you, it’s about walking with you as you rediscover your own strength, clarity, and balance.

I’m an LPC with years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s many transitions. I’m also a San Antonio native, mother of three, first-generation American, and someone who has known loss, and all of those roles have shaped how I show up in the therapy room: grounded, compassionate and real.

I have my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University- San Antonio. I did the majority of my clinical training at Connections Individual and Family Services and the Children's Bereavement Center in San Antonio. I take pride in keeping up with advancements in the field of mental health.

My approach to therapy

My goal is to create a space where you can breathe a little easier, a space where you don’t have to perform or protect, where you can just be. I work with teens, adults, couples, and families, helping clients navigate: Life transitions, Grief, Anxiety and Depression, Relationship struggles, Caregiver stress, First-generation and cultural identity issues.

Therapy with me is collaborative, warm, and down-to-earth. I believe you are the expert of your own life, and together we can uncover the patterns, emotions, and strengths that will move you toward the life you want. If you’re feeling stuck but ready for change, let’s take that next step together.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about connection. I know how important it is to feel safe and understood, so I work to create a calm, nonjudgmental space where you can show up exactly as you are with no filters, no expectations. You don’t have to have everything figured out before coming in; we’ll start wherever you are.

During our first meeting, we’ll talk about what brought you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it. I’ll ask some questions to get to know your story, your relationships, your experiences, your values, and the moments that have shaped you. My approach is multifaceted and existential which means we’ll explore what gives your life meaning and how you can live more authentically, even in the face of uncertainty or pain.

Together, we’ll start identifying the patterns that keep you feeling stuck and begin clarifying what feeling whole or at peace might look like for you. By the end of the session, my goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and a little more grounded in why you’re here.

Each session after that continues to build on this foundation, helping you deepen your understanding of yourself, reconnect with your purpose, and move toward a life that feels more intentional and fulfilling.
