Great to meet you!

As a therapist specializing in trauma and family violence, I work with teens, young adults, and adults navigating challenging experiences and complex family dynamics. My practice is centered around creating a safe, compassionate space where clients can process their experiences, build resilience, and develop the tools they need for healing. With a focus on trauma-informed care, I aim to empower clients in understanding and managing the impact of trauma on their lives and relationships.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized to each person I work with. I strive to create a space where clients can be open and honest without fear of judgment, while also feeling appropriately challenged to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes. I draw from evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and trauma-informed care, adapting treatment to each client’s needs, personality, and goals. I believe therapy should balance processing and validation with practical tools that help clients create lasting change outside of the therapy room.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to feel conversational and low-pressure. I focus on getting to know you as a person—not just a list of symptoms—and understanding what brought you to therapy, what you hope to get out of it, and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past. I tend to be creative and flexible in my approach and often incorporate humor when appropriate, because therapy can involve difficult conversations without having to feel heavy all the time. There’s no expectation that you come in knowing exactly what to say or where to start; we’ll figure that out together.
