Great to meet you!

I've been a therapist for 24 years now and remain just as passionate about helping people improve their relationships, manage stressful life events, and overcome obstacles to achieving their goals as I was in the beginning. My goal is to establish trust and to maintain a welcoming, non-judgmental, and supportive environment. I find I work best with young adults through those age 100+. My approach has been described as direct. I'm a native Houstonian, and completed both my Bachelors and Masters degrees at the University of Houston.

My approach to therapy

I like to gather as much information as possible so I can best understand how a person arrived at where they are in life and to determine how I can best help them. I often recommended articles or books to read outside of therapy sessions to reinforce the work we do in therapy, but I also allow the patient to determine how much work they are willing to do outside of sessions. My approach is pretty eclectic and I will adjust as I see what works and what doesn't with a particular patient.

What you can expect from me

I partner with those I work with to establish goals that are reasonable and achievable. I appreciate feedback about what is working, and adjust goals an approaches accordingly.
