Great to meet you!

My name is Sylvia Akingbade, and I am a licensed professional counselor in Texas. I have worked with children, adults, and those that are elderly or disabled.

My approach combines cognitive behavior therapy and person-centered therapy. With cognitive behavior therapy, the process involves a collaboration between you and me.

With person-centered therapy, I focus on my clients and put them first, as a person, not their condition, which sets the tone for the sessions.

A bit about my approach to therapy

As a licensed therapist, I am committed to the well-being of all my patients and go above and beyond to cater to their needs. I will provide you with all the tools you need to seize the day and learn how to tackle even the most traumatic circumstances. Life can get difficult, and sometimes a little help from a professional Therapist can make things better.

What you can expect from our first session

I truly care for all of my clients and work diligently to help find them the answers they seek. The client is at the center of the services and treated as a person first, so I tailor to their needs and unique circumstances.

I believe in empowering each person to get and keep control over their lives.
