Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a strong foundation in primary care as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). My clinical background allows me to approach mental health with a comprehensive, whole-person perspective—recognizing the connection between physical and emotional well-being.

I proudly served over a decade in the United States Navy, where I developed discipline, resilience, and a deep commitment to serving others. This experience continues to shape my compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, particularly when working with veterans and individuals facing complex life challenges.

Throughout my career, I have worked in diverse clinical settings, including acute care and outpatient environments. My experience as a nurse practitioner has strengthened my ability to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of conditions with confidence and clinical precision.

I completed my post-graduate training in psychiatry at Purdue Global and successfully obtained my PMHNP board certification. I am dedicated to providing evidence-based, individualized mental health care, focusing on conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, supportive, and culturally sensitive. I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take an active role in their treatment.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is focused on getting to know you—your story, your concerns, and your goals. My priority is to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable being open and heard.

During this initial visit, we will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. This includes discussing your current symptoms, mental health history, medical background, lifestyle, and any stressors that may be affecting your well-being. We may also review any previous treatments or medications to better understand what has or hasn’t worked for you.

Together, we will begin to identify your goals for treatment. If appropriate, we will discuss a personalized plan that may include therapy recommendations, lifestyle strategies, and/or medication management. I take a collaborative approach, meaning your input is essential in every decision we make.
