Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm Sylvia Nnamdi-Enwerem, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have over a decade of nursing experience caring for patients in medical, surgical, and mental health settings across three continents. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for how mental and physical health are connected.

I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, schizophrenia, personality disorders, insomnia, and substance use disorders.

I believe everyone deserves compassionate, respectful, and personalized care. My goal is to create a safe space where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns and confident that we will work together to help you feel better.

My approach to therapy

I believe that every person is unique, so there is no one-size-fits-all approach to mental health care. I take time to listen, understand your concerns, and learn about your experiences before recommending treatment.

Together, we'll create a treatment plan that fits your needs and goals. This may include medication management, education, supportive therapy, healthy lifestyle changes, and coordination with your therapist or primary care provider when appropriate.

I want my patients to feel heard, respected, and involved in every decision about their care.

What you can expect from me

Your first visit is about getting to know you. We'll discuss what brought you in, your symptoms, medical and mental health history, current medications, and the goals you have for treatment.

By the end of the appointment, you'll have a better understanding of what's contributing to your symptoms and a personalized treatment plan. If medication is appropriate, we'll discuss your options, expected benefits, and possible side effects so you can make an informed decision.

My goal is for you to leave your first appointment feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the next steps in your mental health journey.
