Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. My experience is in working with adults with histories of trauma, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. I have worked with my clients in exploring conflicts in their relationships; feeling safer in the world and their bodies; questioning the social norms of gender, sexuality, neurotype, and body image; and, my favorite part, cheering them on when they feel like they are able to live authentically as themselves in a harsh world that wants us to be small!

My approach to therapy

I view myself as a support or helper in your journey. Together, we explore the history and experiences that brought you to where you are today. We use empathy, curiosity, and insight to help us to better understand your suffering and what steps you might be able to take to relieve it. We build on the strengths and skills you already have.

We examine your own experiences and the way you see the world– you’re the expert here, not me! As a white, able-bodied, heterosexual and cisgender woman, I have just one narrow lens of lived experience– my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable and confident to let me into your reality in the places where we differ. I believe therapy is political and it exists inside of a social and power structure much bigger than us– I won’t shy away from talking about these larger issues if that is what you choose.

What you can expect from me

The fact that you are here means you are already on a path to healing. Let's see what we can discover by taking the time to look inwards. I look forward to getting to know you and your story. If you are interested in working together, please reach out for a 15-minute introductory call by phone or email.
