Great to meet you!

I work primarily with queer and other LGBTQIAP+ clients, offering an affirming space where you do not have to explain or defend who you are. I specialize in supporting autistic and ADHD adults, as well as individuals navigating trauma, OCD, and substance use disorders. I provide relationship counseling for couples and partners practicing polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, and other nontraditional relationship structures. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in understanding each person within the full context of their identity, relationships, and lived experiences.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is active, educational, and focused on helping you understand what is happening. I place a strong emphasis on psychoeducation and building (DBT) skills for managing emotions, tolerating distress, communicating effectively, and navigating relationships. Because my work is trauma-focused, we may explore how your nervous system responds to triggers and develop ways to recognize and respond to those reactions with greater awareness and choice. I use solution-focused strategies to address problems as they arise in everyday life, while keeping our larger goal in mind: creating meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

I'll ask you about your experiences with therapy, what brings you to therapy today, and what you would like to be different in your life and functioning within the first 6 months of therapy. I'll tell you a bit about myself and how I work so you can decide if I'm a good fit for you.
