Great to meet you!

I am a Brooklyn-based Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, specializing in Drama Therapy, who believes in the liberation and empowerment of marginalized communities, especially black women and women of color. I am also an artist whose art concentration lies in playwriting, fiction writing, directing, and performing. My practice is rooted in storytelling, empowerment, embodiment, and somatic awareness.

My approach to therapy

I believe that everyone has a story and the right to tell it. As a drama therapist, I am interested in your story and want to help unfold those parts that may be difficult to express. I am interested in exploring the various roles we play in our lives and in expanding our inner knowing. And, I want us to have fun! Joy is resistance.

What you can expect from me

We start at the beginning of your story by identifying and exploring how the various roles you've occupied in your life impacted your life experience. This initial exploration will inform the trajectory of our time together. Sessions will likely involve creative interventions based on your needs as a client. Activities can include creative writing, playwriting, and self-expression through embodiment and "performance." The goal is not to "perform" well, but to show up authentically to perform what is true.
