Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Tabitha, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia. I earned my Masters in Rehabilitation Professional Counseling at Georgia State in 2011 and my Bachelors in Psychology from Kennesaw State in 2006. For the past nine years, I have been providing counseling and assessment services for a variety of clients. As a counselor, I am well-versed in depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationship issues, and trauma. I am a LGBTQ+, kink, and polyam-friendly therapist.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). While I draw on CBT techniques, my therapeutic style is person-centered. My colleagues describe me as a "warm and fuzzy" therapist. I believe that you are the expert when it comes to your thoughts and feelings.

What you can expect from our first session

My job as a therapist is to provide a safe space where we can explore and "organize" your thoughts and feelings so they become clearer and more manageable. I practice unconditional positive regard, which means that nothing you share with me is going to negatively impact the way I think or feel about you. I want therapy to be a place where you can be your authentic self.
