Great to meet you!

Growing up I was extremely curious as to why people do the things they do. I was fairly young when I realized that a lot of people are suffering and live their whole lives that way. I noticed how some people come back stronger after the pain of life, some are persistently stuck in their pain, and many are bogged down by the impossibility of systems. Why this was and how this was became extremely important to me. As I grew older, I became inspired by the idea of bottling up the resiliency of some to share with all and came to value the importance of deeply seeing myself and others. Furthermore, my work and community is influenced by my upbringing including being raised in a mixed ethnic family and by parents who overcame intergenerational trauma.

As a researcher, I am one of the first individuals to empirically study the impact of the troubled teen industry on adult outcomes and I also have a high degree of familiarity with psychological treatment with forensic populations.

My approach to therapy

Clinically, I work to assist you in leading a more fulfilling life by living more authentically and releasing enduring suffering. I enjoy humor and transparency. I am personally and professionally considerate about systemic issues and their impact on your emotional and physical health. My style is warm, collaborative, and direct. I help clients explore what truly matters to them — not just what’s expected — using ACT, coherence, and relational therapy .

What you can expect from me

I don’t offer surface-level advice or pretend things are fine when they’re not. Expect honesty, depth, and a space grounded in curiosity. For individuals chronically engaged in behaviors that don't make sense to them or are keeping them from their true potential, we will use aspects of coherence therapy to identify the utility of these habits and release them to allow more aligned ways of being.
