Great to meet you!

Tacianna believes that most problems were once solutions. Through her authenticity, easy rapport, and sense of humor, Tacianna works with you to identify patterns of thinking and behaving that may be making it difficult to be present, meet your goals, and connect with others around you.

Tacianna is a licensed psychologist who received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Ball State University. Tacianna completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University at Buffalo’s Counseling Services, an APA accredited program.

My approach to therapy

Tacianna focuses on creating a warm and collaborative therapeutic relationship, discovering and utilizing personal strength. She adapts her approach to what you want and need, and aims to help you build healthier relationships with yourself and others. Generally, Tacianna works from Cognitive Behavioral and Interpersonal Process models and incorporates cultural sensitivity and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques.

With her gentle directness and down-to-earth style, Tacianna provides counseling for late adolescents (17+), adults, and couples, to provide support to recover from interpersonal loss and trauma, overcome mood struggles, cope with anxiety, and adjust positively to life transitions. She has significant clinical experience working with young adults, college students, depression, anxiety, adjustment, relationship issues, and perinatal mental health.

What you can expect from me

I offer a free 30-minute consultation, allowing us to start to get to know each other and ensure our compatibility. Subsequently, I advocate for weekly meetings (at least initially) to establish rapport, gain insights into your motivations for counseling, and collaboratively devise a tailored strategy to effectively achieve your goals.
