Great to meet you!

My name is Ta'Erra but most people just call me Tae. I started this journey as a therapist to make sense of the world I was living in but it became my passion when I began to see the fruit of healing in others' lives. I have had the chance to work with those experiencing mood disorders, relational issues, and trauma-related disorders. I have also worked with many who like to integrate their Christian beliefs into therapy. My goal is to help you understand the impact that life experiences have had on shaping how you see yourself, others, and the world. I use EMDR, Experiential Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.

My approach to therapy

I believe that we all have the capacity to grow and thrive, but sometimes we need a different perspective, a challenging question, empathetic understanding, creative solutions or a reminder of our strengths for us to move past the obstacles that can keep us stuck. Our mental health symptoms give us clues about what is happening in our internal or external world and we can use these clues to help us heal. My goal is to provide the support that helps you get to your goals.

What you can expect from me

The first session is one where I will spend some time getting to know you, your background and your goals. It's also for me to review things that keep us moving along, a space for you to ask any questions you might have, and a time to brainstorm what the future could look like.
