Great to meet you!

Welcome, I'm Tahia Robinson, LCSW. As the founder of MyME Therapy—short for My Mental Excellence—I believe every individual has the power to grow, heal, and reclaim their sense of self. MyME reflects a philosophy that mental wellness begins by recognizing your strengths, rewriting your narrative, and striving toward the best version of you.

I bring over a decade of clinical experience supporting diverse populations across the lifespan. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University and my Bachelor’s from New Jersey City University. My professional background includes working as an Intensive In-Community (IIC) therapist for youth and families, as well as supporting geriatric clients, reentry populations, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD), and those navigating substance use recovery.

My therapeutic approach is warm, practical, and rooted in evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing. I work with children (7+), teens, and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem issues, emotional dysregulation, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.

Clients often share that they appreciate my ability to blend compassion with clarity—offering a space that is both supportive and empowering. Whether you’re starting therapy for the first time or returning after a break, you’ll find MyME to be a space where your narrative is respected, your goals are centered, and your growth is celebrated.

A bit about my approach to therapy

A bit about my approach to therapy:

At MyME Therapy, I work with individuals ages 7 and up—including children, teens, and adults—using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth, creating a safe and supportive space for self-discovery and growth. Whether you're a young person navigating school stress, emotions, identity, or family dynamics—or an adult managing anxiety, life transitions, or burnout—therapy here is tailored to your goals, your pace, and your voice. I help clients build insight, motivation, and practical coping skills they can apply in everyday life.

The name “MyME,” which stands for My Mental Excellence, was created with intention. It reflects the belief that personal growth begins with recognizing the importance of self—regardless of age or stage of life. At MyME Therapy, you're not just getting tools to cope—you’re building the mindset and confidence to thrive. Therapy works best when it feels like a partnership, and I’m here to walk with you, every step of the way.

What you can expect from our first session

What you can expect from our first session Our initial session is focused on getting to know you—your narrative, your concerns, and what brings you to therapy. Together, we’ll explore your goals and begin to establish a meaningful therapeutic connection. I’ll also gather some background information to better understand your unique experiences and how we can best collaborate. From the very beginning, you can expect a warm, respectful, and supportive space where your voice is heard and your needs are valued.
