Great to meet you!

As a Clinical Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, I provide a compassionate, structured, and supportive therapeutic environment where clients can safely explore emotions, process past experiences, and work toward meaningful and sustainable change. My approach is integrative, combining psychoanalytic insight, art-based interventions, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address both underlying emotional patterns and present-day thoughts and behaviors.

Dr. Nadim holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychoanalysis and master’s degrees in clinical psychology and Mental Health Counseling. Her compassionate, culturally responsive approach supports each client’s emotional growth, helping them build resilience, strengthen relationships, and find balance in their lives.

My approach to therapy

Dr. Nadim works with children, adolescents, and adults navigating mood and eating disorders, behavioral challenges, and significant life transitions. Combining clinical psychoanalysis with art therapy, she provides a supportive and creative space where clients can explore emotions, build self-awareness, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. Her approach is compassionate, developmentally attuned, and designed to foster lasting emotional growth and resilience.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a warm, respectful, and non-judgmental space where we begin to understand what brings them to therapy. I provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed care that honors each client’s unique identity, background, and lived experience. I remain mindful of the impact of culture, migration, language, and intergenerational experiences on emotional well-being and the therapeutic process. We will discuss current concerns, personal goals, relevant history, and any immediate stressors impacting emotional well-being.

This session is also an opportunity to establish safety, clarify expectations, and begin building a strong therapeutic alliance. I will explain my therapeutic approach and collaboratively identify initial goals. When appropriate, brief CBT-informed strategies may be introduced to help clients gain early relief and a sense of direction.

The first session is not about having all the answers—it is about beginning a thoughtful and supportive process tailored to the client’s needs and pace.
