Greetings, I'm Takia, and I'm so happy you're here. For the past two decades, I've had the privilege of working alongside youth, adolescents, adults, families, and community stakeholders as they navigate life's ups and downs. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a PhD in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, I bring both deep clinical training and a specialized understanding of how conflict shapes our relationships, families, and workplaces.
I use a solution-focused, strengths-based approach in my work, which means our time together centers on what's possible - helping you recognize the strengths, resilience, and resources you already carry, and building on them to move toward meaningful change. This doesn't mean we'll avoid the hard stuff - we'll work through negative and traumatic experiences with care and at a pace that feels right for you. Through that process, we'll identify what's already working in your life and find practical, achievable steps through whatever challenges you're facing.
Your first session is about getting to know each other - no pressure to have it all figured out. We'll talk through what brought you in, your background, and what you're hoping to get out of our work together. My hope it hat you leave feeling heard, a little lighter, and clear on what comes next. No judgment - just a conversation to start building trust.
