Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who believes therapy works best when it feels safe, collaborative, and supportive. My approach is warm, insight-oriented, and relational, helping clients better understand themselves while creating meaningful, lasting change.

I work with adults and couples, specializing in anxiety, OCD, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I have a strong focus on couples therapy and primarily use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help partners break unhelpful patterns, strengthen emotional connection, and build more secure relationships. I also integrate attachment-based and mindfulness-informed approaches based on each client’s needs.

Clients often describe me as grounding, thoughtful, and supportive, with a style that balances empathy and gentle challenge. I value collaboration and transparency and aim to create a space where clients feel understood, empowered, and supported.

Outside of my work, I’m a wife and mother of four, and I bring a real-world understanding of relationships and family dynamics into the therapy room.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is relational, emotionally attuned, and insight-oriented, grounded in attachment-based work and informed by CBT, DBT, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I focus on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported, allowing deeper and more meaningful work to take place. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I help clients identify emotional, cognitive, and relational patterns, understand where those patterns come from, and explore how they show up in daily life and relationships.

With individuals, I integrate CBT and DBT skills to support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and more effective coping, while also helping clients build insight and self-compassion. I work collaboratively and balance empathy with gentle challenge, empowering clients to make practical changes while feeling supported throughout the process. In couples work, I use EFT to help partners break negative cycles, strengthen emotional bonds, and build more secure, connected relationships.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a warm, supportive, and collaborative conversation focused on getting to know them and what brought them to therapy. I’ll ask questions about current concerns, relevant history, and what they hope to gain from therapy, while also making space for anything they feel is important to share at their own pace. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out or to go into details before you’re ready.

I’ll also explain how I work, answer any questions about the therapy process, and begin to identify goals together so we have a shared sense of direction. For some clients, this session is mostly about being heard and building comfort; for others, we may begin gently exploring patterns or introducing initial coping tools. My priority in the first session is helping clients feel safe, understood, and supported, so we can begin building a strong therapeutic relationship.
