Great to meet you!

Hi, I am Talisha Carter-Moody, Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my Masters in Counseling & Psychology from Troy University. For over 28 years of my professional career, I have worked with community and justice involved individuals. I specialize in depression, trauma, self-esteem, anxiety, grief, bi-polar, relationship issues, life transitions and many more.

My approach to therapy

I would say I am an eclectic therapist. I specialize in adults and adolescents utilizing solution-focused techniques, motivational interviewing skills, cognitive behavioral therapy techniques and trauma informed counseling. I currently assist individuals with anxiety, depression, identity concerns, bi-polar and extended grief, as well as those going through life changes such as adjustment to illness, school, divorce and job loss.

What you can expect from me

I believe in creating an environment in therapy that the therapeutic relationship can grow in order for the individual to reach their greatest potential. My counseling atmosphere is warm, supportive and collaborative so each individual can feel at ease as they work through life’s challenges. The goal for most people is to find their “Happy”. I want to help facilitate those individuals to that state of being.
