I believe in the power of change and the strengths that can be developed during life's difficult times. Some common theories/modalities used are: Play Therapy, Sandtray Therapy, Mindfulness, Strength-Based, Positive Psychology, Family Systems, Faith-based, Solution-Focused, Person-centered, and Cognitive Behavioral . I work with children to adults and families, individuals, and groups. My areas of specialization include child and adolescent issues (School, Home, Behavior, Relational), Woman's issues (Personal/Professional), developing healthy coping strategies, healthy relationships (Self/Others), and navigating life transitions.
My degree is in mental health and school counseling, with an emphasis on Play Therapy and Child/Adolescent concerns. I am a Registered Play Therapist, a Nationally Certified Counselor, and a former School Counselor and teacher. My qualifications and training, along with my own personal set of life experiences has equipped me to come alongside you.
