Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Tamara — a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Kentucky. I've spent over a decade serving children and families across the state, with the last few years focused specifically on mental health care. At my core, I'm an advocate for child and family well-being, and I'm genuinely invested in you receiving the best care possible.

I work with youth and families navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence, and life transitions. I also specialize in helping families and youth who are currently or have previously navigated the child welfare system. Whether you're here for yourself, your child, or your whole family, my hope is that you feel supported from our very first conversation. I also offer evening telehealth appointments, so therapy can actually fit into real life.

My approach to therapy

I take a systems approach to well-being, which means we look at how each part of your life — family, school or work, relationships, daily routines — contributes to how you're feeling. Rather than treating one symptom in isolation, we consider the whole picture.

I use evidence-based treatment models to help you navigate current stressors and symptoms, drawing on client-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). In our first session, we'll decide together which approach fits you best. My style is holistic, open-minded, and affirming — you'll always be met exactly where you are.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, you can expect a relaxed, judgment-free space where you don't need to have everything figured out. We'll get to know one another, talk about what brought you to therapy, explore your goals, and begin identifying the challenges you'd like to work through. There's no pressure to share everything right away — we'll move at your pace.
