Great to meet you!

You might look like you’re functioning on the outside, but inside you feel anxious or on edge, despite all the books and advice you’ve tried. If you’re tired of feeling stuck, let me walk with you to find hope. I love helping women work through anxiety, shame, and trauma by addressing the deeper patterns held in their body and nervous system.

My approach to therapy

My personal mission statement is to help women move out of shame and fear and into freedom. I spent years watching people spend so much energy trying to change the patterns that kept them stuck without seeing much change. It was hard for them to find a new way to move forward when they kept using the same thoughts or behaviors. This shaped my approach to therapy over the past 20 years of doing this work. Our goal will be to honor the tools you've used for years while finding a different way to move forward so you can live your life with courage, clarity, and confidence.

What you can expect from me

We start with an intake where I get to hear your story and better understand what isn't working for you as well as what strengths you have. You're also able to ask me any questions about therapy. At the end of this intake session, I typically will give you my ideas about the types of therapy that might be helpful for you. I've also learned that therapy isn't always just about learning more tools or getting advice. There's power in letting go of what's not working so that there's more space to trust ourselves as we become healthier. I love watching clients find the "aha" moment, that shift, where they realize something new, and it changes everything.
