Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, writer, and collegiate professor with over a decade of experience in the field. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Theology and Ministry from European Nazarene College in Switzerland and my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College. Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of clinical settings—including inpatient and outpatient care, addiction treatment, trauma recovery, and private practice.

I currently specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and emotional resilience—especially those in leadership roles. In addition to my counseling work, I serve as a professor of Pastoral Care and Counseling, partnering with European Nazarene College to train pastors across Europe. I’m also the author of Emotion Strong, a guide to building emotional resilience, and the creator of Firm Foundation, a small group curriculum designed to help parents lead their families confidently in faith and discipleship.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is relational, integrative, and grounded in compassion. I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities—including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and attachment theory—to meet each client’s unique needs. I believe that meaningful change happens in the context of a safe, authentic relationship, and I work to create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. Whether we're navigating anxiety, past trauma, relational struggles, or leadership stress, I help clients better understand and regulate their emotions, develop resilience, and move toward lasting growth. For those who desire it, I also offer the option to integrate faith into the counseling process.

What you can expect from me

My hope is that clients leave each session feeling more grounded, empowered, and connected—to themselves, to others, and, when desired, to their faith. I want them to gain not only insight into their emotions and patterns but also practical tools they can carry into daily life. Ultimately, I hope clients walk away with a deeper sense of self-worth, the ability to navigate life’s challenges with resilience, and the confidence that healing and growth are possible.
