Great to meet you!

Hello, it is great to connect with you! My name is Tamaris Perez Princi and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

I specialize in working with teens and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, personality disorders and challenges with relationships and marriage. I have worked to support hundreds of people through divorce, domestic violence and trauma throughout my career.

I help by combining proven interventions like Cognitive Behavioral Therapies and Psycho-Education with Embodied Approaches like breath work and meditation.

In our first few sessions, you can expect me to "start where you are" meaning that I will get to know why you reached out to me for support and then I can understand how I best help you. Typically, we will talk a little bit about your life and a little bit about your past. We will get to know each other and I will learn what feels helpful to you by asking you some questions. Once we know these things, we will create some goals for our time together.

My practice is unique because I have personal and professional experience that allow me to understand you. I have faced and overcome many challenges in life and truly understand what it feels like when you're in the middle of it all.

I am passionate about this work because I have built my life around peace and safety and I love being able to support other people on their healing journey.

My approach to therapy

I am a therapist who will be very engaged: I will ask you questions, brainstorm solutions with and for you and earn your trust. I am open-minded and can identify what is important to you so we can make these things a priority. I am also skilled at bringing all parts of you into our sessions such as your spirituality, your different identities and roles you play in your life.

What you can expect from me

You can expect to take away information about the particular issues you are dealing with including real strategies to help you. You can expect to learn about your thinking and the way that your body reacts to trauma and challenges. We will build the road to your most authentic self one step at a time.
