Great to meet you!

I’m Tamatha McCoy, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting adolescents and adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I provide a warm, supportive space where clients can feel heard, understood, and respected. My goal is to help you recognize your strengths, overcome challenges, and move toward meaningful change and healing.

My approach to therapy

My approach is empathetic, nonjudgmental, person-centered, and collaborative. I meet clients where they are while helping them identify patterns, build coping skills, and work toward meaningful goals. I incorporate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, and solution-focused interventions. I believe therapy should provide a safe space for healing while also giving you practical tools you can use in everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable therapeutic relationship. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. You can expect a supportive, judgment-free environment where you can move at your own pace as we begin identifying goals for treatment.
