Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State and an Associate Professional Counselor in Georgia, with over a decade of experience providing mental health services. I am also a doctoral student in Counselor Education and Supervision, which allows me to stay grounded in current research and best practices.

I am the owner of Helping Hands Christian Counseling, where I provide individual counseling services to adolescents and adults. My work is rooted in a passion for helping individuals navigate life transitions, heal from past experiences, and develop practical tools for emotional wellness.

I specialize in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD-related concerns, and life stressors. I also integrate faith-based principles for clients who desire a Christian-centered approach to therapy. My goal is to create a space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to grow.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person-centered, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier ways of thinking and responding. I also incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, such as emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and mindfulness, to support clients in managing intense emotions and improving daily functioning.

I view therapy as a partnership, where we work together to explore your experiences, identify patterns, and build practical strategies that align with your values. I also take a multicultural and holistic approach, recognizing the impact of culture, identity, and life experiences on mental health. When appropriate, I integrate faith and spirituality as a source of strength and healing.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment. We will spend time getting to know each other, discussing what brings you to therapy, and identifying your goals for treatment.

I will ask questions to better understand your current concerns, history, and what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we will begin to identify patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and start developing a plan that feels realistic and meaningful for you.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer understanding of next steps. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you while also working toward meaningful progress.
