Great to meet you!

I am Tamica Edmonds, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 9 years therapeutic counseling experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with psychological, substance use, co-occurring disorders, and complex mental health issues. I have experience treating client’s with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, marital and relationship issues, adjustment disorders, anger management, stress management, counseling and trauma.

My approach to therapy

I approach every client differently therefore, I utilize an eclectic array of approaches which includes: Motivational Interviewing, Person Centered therapy, Brief-Solution Focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Behavior therapy and Play therapy. I believe that empowering clients through genuineness, openness, and transparency helps create a therapeutic relationship built on mutual respect and trust. I believe when clients feel heard, valued, and supported, they can begin to recognize and build upon their own strengths, creating space for meaningful healing, personal growth, and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about getting to know you and understanding what brings you to counseling. We’ll discuss your concerns, history, and goals while beginning to develop a treatment approach that feels comfortable and appropriate for you. You don’t have to have everything figured out—just taking the first step is enough.

My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, supported, and empowered throughout your counseling journey.
