My approach to therapy

Tammy is a dedicated mental health therapist with experience in substance use, grief, suicidal ideation, and anxiety. Bringing a compassionate, holistic approach to therapy, helping clients navigate life's challenges and build resilience.

What you can expect from me

A first session with Tammy is gentle, collaborative, and paced to help clients feel safe from the very beginning. She starts by getting to know what brings the client in, exploring their hopes, concerns, and the experiences that have shaped where they are today. Together, you’ll talk through immediate needs, current stressors, and any symptoms related to anxiety, grief, substance use, or suicidal ideation—always with a steady, nonjudgmental presence. Tammy offers clear information about how therapy works, answers questions, and checks in often to ensure the client feels comfortable. By the end of the session, you’ll have begun building a shared understanding of your goals and the direction therapy might take, laying the foundation for a supportive, holistic healing process.
