Great to meet you!

I bring both strong academic training and over two decades of real-world experience to my work with clients. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling from University of North Texas and went on to complete my PhD at Texas A&M University–Commerce. My education has provided a solid foundation in evidence-based practices and a deep understanding of human behavior and mental health.

In addition to my clinical training, I have 25 years of professional experience working in multi-level roles within public education. This background has given me unique insight into the academic, social, and emotional challenges faced by students, educators, and families across diverse settings.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults, supporting individuals dealing with concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and tailored to each person’s unique needs.

I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered to navigate challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. I believe each person has the capacity for growth and healing, and I tailor the therapeutic process to meet each client’s unique needs.

I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered to navigate challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, relaxed space where we begin getting to know each other. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your concerns, and any goals you may have, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I’ll also review confidentiality and what to expect from the counseling process. My approach, rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, focuses on creating a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard and understood from the start.
