Great to meet you!

Hello all, my name is Dr. Tana Haven (pronounced tan-uh hay-ven) and my pronouns are she/her. I describe myself as a counselor, educator, and advocate. I care strongly about marginalized communities and work almost exclusively with those who identify as members of one. I describe my specialty as identity exploration and affirmation! Need a hype girl to help you through hard times? I got you!

My approach to therapy

Affirmative! You are not broken. You are not wrong. Systems may be. Situations may be. But you are not. Let me help support you and figure out how to make the best of your environment so you can thrive and live the life that's best for you!

What you can expect from me

Support. Genuine care and authenticity. I am very personable. My face says what I think even when I don't want it to. I self-disclose when appropriate. I am here to help. I wouldn't do this work otherwise. Some sessions may be harder than others. That's okay. That means you're challenging yourself. At the end of it all, we want to move to a place of progress though and I'm here to help guide that journey, safely.
