Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Tandy Jackson. I hold an LPC-MHSP license in the state of Tennessee and have 5 years of experience working with clients for various issues including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, coping strategies, relational issues, emotional issues, and trauma. My practice involves a combination of humor, compassion, challenge, and encouragement as I walk with clients on their journey to learn more about themselves and take the risk of trying new things--first in the therapeutic relationship then extending into their lives outside of session.

My approach to therapy

I have experience working with anxiety, trauma, depression, emotional regulation, stress, relational issues, and life changes. I am licensed in TN and have training in EMDR, TF-CBT, and IFS (parts work) for trauma-specific treatment. As a therapist, I often use a combination of humor, gentleness, challenge, compassion, and empowerment with my clients.

I believe that all of us can benefit from additional support in different times of our lives, and we can discuss what that might look like for you. Whether you are wanting to develop skills to cope with life’s challenges, know yourself more fully, or seek healing from trauma, I am honored to support you on your journey. I am passionate about working with people who are navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, family changes, life adjustments, relational issues, grief/loss, stress, emotional regulation, and trauma from a relational, trauma-informed lens using evidence-based interventions. I tailor my approach to meet each client's unique needs, hopes, and story. I often work with clients who are experiencing anxiety, stress, relationship issues, life changes, or have experienced trauma. Treatment begins by exploring the factors underlying your concern and understanding your story. My aim is to support and guide you on your path of healing to help you connect authentically with yourself and others. As a therapist, I am dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate, and empowering space for clients to heal and grow. Whether you are wanting to develop your skills to cope with life’s many challenges, know yourself more fully, or seek healing from trauma, I am honored to meet you here and collaborate with you on your journey.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, we will explore what brought you to therapy and discuss what treatment might be best for you based on your experiences, needs, and goals. I often use trauma-informed and relational interventions to help individuals feel regulated, process trauma, and build understanding around their coping responses, to help you feel better and to support personal development and growth.
