I earned a Master's Degree in Human Relations and a Bachelor's’ degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology-Criminology, both from the University of Oklahoma. In addition, I have over 10 years of experience working with adults struggling with life transitions, trauma, addiction, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression.
In addition to my formal education, I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is an empirically supported treatment modality for people struggling with trauma. My competency in clinical practice is a result of professional education and training along with a steadfast desire to help clients recognize their resilience.
In the first sessions clients should expect to build rapport with therapist in order to establish a safe therapeutic relationship through with obtain a history of presenting programs and identifying goals.
