Great to meet you!

My name is Taneshea Sargent, MSW, LCSW. I am a warm, supportive, and engaging therapist who believes everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and accepted. I was born and raised in Jamaica, and I value the role that culture, family, and life experiences play in who we are. I work with children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate life’s challenges.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, culturally sensitive, and solution-focused. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, so I work with each client to find what works best for them. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, family concerns, life changes, self-esteem, or boundaries, we will work together to identify your strengths and find practical ways to move forward.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. You can expect a safe and judgment-free space where you can share at your own pace. We will talk about your concerns, goals, and what you hope to get from therapy. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable, heard, and supported as we begin your journey together.
