Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed clinician of over 20 years and specialize in women's mental health and issues of trauma, anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, people-pleasing, attachment issues and codependency. I'm a holistic therapist focused on the mind/body connection and I am passionate about women's mental health and empowerment. I have additional training and knowledge in yoga, meditation, nutrition, hypnosis and energy work and I use different somatic and trauma-based tools and modalities to help my clients progress and move forward in their lives. I am also author of the book, "Uncovering Good Girl Conditioning: A path to releasing guilt, fear, people-pleasing, and the hidden beliefs undermining women's power."

My approach to therapy

My approach is trauma-informed and somatic-based and I offer tools, information, homework and a plan to move you forward. Each session is different but clients can bring up what they would like to discuss that day or I can guide the process as well. Together we address your concerns through clarifying questions and my use of a wide variety of therapeutic tools meant to encourage self-reflection and a better understanding of yourself and what to do to heal.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will focus on me asking questions and getting a better understanding of your current concerns and any symptoms you are struggling with in the different areas of your life so that I have a more clear understanding of how best to help you. I often provide initial suggestions to begin supporting you with your concerns and explore any questions you might have about the therapy process. I invite feedback from clients and check-in how you are feeling at the end of our first session. Clients typically feel a sense of hope, empowerment and direction after their first session and a greater understanding of themselves and what they are struggling with. Clients also comment on the value of having a place to share how they are feeling without judgement and how therapy provides the support, encouragement and tools they are needing.
