I'm a writer who spent 20 years teaching creative writing. Over that time, my students shared profound secrets and stories with me, and I got to see how channeling their experiences into art helped the writers make sense of their lives and process their traumas. As I witnessed the remarkable transformation that occurred in the people who did that, I became more interested in trauma work. So I went back to school at 47 and earned my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

I believe in your capacity to heal and recover. I work as your partner. You're the expert on YOU, so we explore together to find the approach you're most comfortable with, whether that be through creative therapies or EMDR. You are always a real person to me, never just a job I'm scheduled to do.

I aim to create an atmosphere of trust and curiosity. I want to dispel any negative messages about yourself that you've been carrying around. My ultimate goal is for you to love yourself and honor your own life.
