Great to meet you!

When your emotions feel unpredictable or painfully intense, it can become difficult to trust yourself or imagine feeling steady again. You may be navigating the highs and lows of bipolar disorder, feeling weighed down by depression, grieving a loss that has changed your life, or carrying traumatic experiences that continue to affect how you feel today. Women may also find themselves trying to manage these challenges while balancing relationships, family expectations, and their own needs. I provide virtual individual and family therapy for adolescents and adults throughout Texas, with a focus on bipolar disorder, depression, grief and loss, women’s issues, and PTSD. I also support clients experiencing family difficulties, anger, and panic when those concerns add another layer to what they are already navigating. My goal is to provide a compassionate and empowering space where you can feel safe being honest about what you are experiencing, better understand yourself, and begin building greater stability and hope.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when you feel understood as a whole person rather than reduced to a diagnosis or difficult chapter of your life. We’ll explore the thoughts, emotions, experiences, and relationships influencing what you are going through while identifying practical ways to help you move forward. Bipolar disorder, depression, grief, women’s issues, and PTSD may be at the center of our work, while family conflict, anger, or panic can sometimes intensify those primary concerns. I may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you recognize connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, Psychoeducation to help you better understand what you are experiencing and develop strategies for managing it, Psychodynamic approaches to explore how earlier experiences may influence current patterns, and Psychoeducational Family Therapy when family relationships are an important part of the work. My approach is client centered and compassionate, and we’ll work collaboratively at a pace that respects your experiences while still creating opportunities for meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Our first conversation is an opportunity for you to decide whether this feels like a place where you can genuinely be yourself. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been most difficult lately, and what you hope could become different. I’ll listen to your needs, respect your perspective, and work with you to develop goals that feel meaningful and realistic rather than deciding for you what progress should look like. You can expect directness, humor, compassion, and encouragement as we continue working together. Progress may mean feeling more prepared to navigate changes in mood, reconnecting with yourself during depression, processing grief or trauma, responding differently to anger or panic, strengthening family relationships, or feeling more confident advocating for your own needs. You do not have to have everything figured out before you begin. When you’re ready, you can use Headway to review your insurance information and schedule a session.
