Great to meet you!

You're the one everyone else leans on. The strong one, the one who figures it out, shows up, and keeps going, even when you're running on empty -- often called Superwoman Syndrome. If you're a Black woman exhausted by the weight of holding everything together, therapy can be the one place where that stops. You deserve to be taken care of too. And you shouldn't have to explain why it's so heavy.

My approach to therapy

Our work starts with curiosity, not checklists. Together we'll get underneath the beliefs and patterns that shape how you show up for others and how you treat yourself: where they came from, what they've cost you, and what it might feel like to do things differently. I draw from CBT, ACT, and Internal Family Systems, but sessions feel like conversation. Warm, unhurried, and genuinely collaborative. We build tools that fit your actual life, not a textbook version of it.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a conversation, not an evaluation. I'll ask what's bringing you in, a little about your life, and what you're hoping therapy can give you. Some clients come in knowing exactly what they want to work on. Others just know something feels off and they're ready to figure it out. Both are a great starting point. By the end, you'll know how I work and we'll have a sense of where to begin together.
