Great to meet you!

Greetings! I am pleased to introduce myself. I am Tannielle Mendoza. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been practicing since 1999. I recieved my undergraduate and graduate education from Walla Walla University.

I have been priviledged to work in various environments and with a beautiful diversity of clients. I have provided mental health, therapeutic, and social work services in various settings such as schools, clinics, corrections, out-patient and in-patient/residential, in client homes, and on-line. I have been in the field, worked as an administor, and as a professor of higher education in Social Work and Psychology. I also continue to offer supervision for social workers needing clinical supervision hours in order for them to become fully licenensed.

My approach to therapy

The most important principles to me as a therapist and social worker are to be ethical in every situation, to treat everyone as valuable and unique, and to make every encounter purposeful and beneficial.

I am person-centered in my approach, which means to me that the client, as an individual, comes before the identified "problem"/reason for them seeking support.

I will provide the structure of the work done, but we will work together to develop the goals and objectives. I will always welcome and be attentive to my clients' questions and feedback.

What you can expect from me

As we get started together, we will spend the necessary time getting to know one another, as it relates to the client-therapist relationship.

We will complete an assessment, that focuses on safety, provides relevant background information, and outlines short-term, intermediate, and long-term goals.

We will discuss the frequency, duration, and projected time-line for your therapeutic process.
