Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience supporting individuals across a variety of clinical settings, including work with the Veteran community and inpatient psychiatric care. These experiences have shaped my understanding of trauma, resilience and the complexities of life transitions.

I specialize in working with women, particularly those over 50, who are navigating significant life changes such as divorce, starting over, retirement or redefining their next chapter. Many of the women I work with are also carrying the impact of past experiences. I work with clients experiencing trauma, depression and anxiety.

I hold a Master's degree in Social Work from Howard University and my Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Morgan State University.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative and grounded in evidence based practices. I work alongside my clients to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where they can explore their thoughts, emotions and experiences at their pace.

I integrate approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to work through their trauma and understand how past experiences may be impacting their present. Together, we focus on building insight, developing healthier coping strategies and create meaningful change.

Therapy can be challenging, but I believe it can also be a powerful space for growth, healing and an opportunity to reconnect with yourself and move forward with greater clarity and intention.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive space where we begin getting to know one another. We will talk about what's bringing you to therapy, any concerns you may have and what you hope to gain from the process.

I will ask questions to better understand your experiences and current challenges. We will move at a pact that feels comfortable for you.

My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported and with a clearer sense of how we can work together moving forward.
