Great to meet you!

I’m Tanya Lindsey, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Therapist serving clients in Tennessee through both in-person and online therapy. I’m dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, supported, and understood.

I work with adults who may be navigating anxiety, trauma, substance use, attachment wounds, emotional dysregulation, grief, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the lasting impact of difficult family experiences. I also have experience supporting clients who are working through mother wounds, codependency, coping skills, and challenges with self-worth or emotional regulation.

I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from Dalton State College and my Master of Science in Social Work with a clinical concentration from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. My passion is helping clients better understand themselves, heal from painful patterns, and move toward healthier relationships, greater self-compassion, and a more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is client-centered, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process where we work together to understand what you are experiencing, identify the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and build practical tools for healing and growth. I draw from evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches, including EMDR, CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and mindfulness-informed care.

My style is warm, affirming, empowering, and supportive. Whether you are working through trauma, anxiety, addiction, relationship patterns, emotional overwhelm, or major life changes, I will meet you with compassion while helping you develop healthier coping skills, stronger self-awareness, and a deeper sense of confidence in yourself.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a calm, welcoming, and supportive conversation. We’ll take time to talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been struggling with, and what you hope to feel or change through our work together.

You do not have to have everything figured out before starting. The first session is simply a chance for us to get to know each other, discuss your goals, and begin creating a plan that feels realistic and supportive for you.

My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, respected, and encouraged. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or unsure where to begin, we will take the process one step at a time together.
