Great to meet you!

As a therapist specializing in trauma, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate the profound effects of it on their lives.

With extensive training in evidence-based practices and personal lived experience, I work to create a safe and accepting environment where clients can explore their past and current experiences, emotions, and beliefs about themselves.

My expertise includes supporting those dealing with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and complex trauma. I have helped to facilitate Critical Incident Stress Management debriefings, and have extensive experience in crisis response.

Over the course of my years as a mental health clinician and therapist, I have worked with high trauma populations including frontline professionals, veterans, first responders, children and families experiencing hardship, and those in the corporate executive environment.

I believe in an integrative, bottom-up approach to therapy that addresses the emotional and physical experiences, before cognitive understanding. This allows clients to access emotions that may be difficult to articulate, often leading to breakthroughs in shifts in perspective and awareness, providing clients the opportunity to reclaim their lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in a deep commitment to understanding and empowering individuals through their unique journeys.

I focus on a trauma-informed framework, incorporating modalities like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), somatic experiencing, Flash Therapy, and IFS/parts work, allowing us to address not only thoughts and behaviors, but also the emotional and physiological responses tied to those experiences.

Collaboration is key in my practice. I work alongside clients to identify their strengths and resilience, fostering a sense of agency and empowerment.

Establishing a strong therapeutic relationship is key in my practice. I believe the best therapy is relationship-based, not theory-based. I actively work to challenge traditional power dynamics within the therapeutic relationship, striving for a collaborative and empowering environment. I believe that therapy should not be a one-sided experience but rather a partnership where both the therapist and client are engaged in the healing process.

What you can expect from me

Before starting therapy, I schedule a 15 minute consultation with clients to ensure we are a good fit.

Once we decide to work together, our first session is focused on getting to know you and what your goals are for therapy.

Together, we look at recurrent themes that arise in your life and address the areas in which you feel stuck.

I ask questions about your history, your social supports, and other aspects that make up who you are, as I see my clients as multiplex individuals with their own unique story's.
