Tanya Olin

I have over 12 years of experience working in the psychiatric mental health field. I worked as a registered nurse for the first 7 years of my career in various intensive outpatient programs focused on mental health treatment and substance use treatment. For the last 5 years I have worked as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in an outpatient behavioral health clinic. I have worked primarily with adults but also have experience treating children/adolescents as well. I have precepted several students, helping them achieve experience and knowledge related to mental health treatment.

I believe patient care should be a collaborative process. My aim is to work with each patient in developing the best treatment plan that will help them achieve their desired health goals. Treatment should not only be based on best practice recommendations but also each patient's unique individual needs and their level of comfortability.

Our first session will be spent getting to know you by gathering information about you and your present concerns as well as obtaining a thorough history of previous symptoms, diagnosis and treatments. We will go through a comprehensive mental health symptom review to help determine the most accurate diagnosis which will help guide recommended treatment approaches. We will establish your desired treatment goals and come up with a plan together.
