Great to meet you!

Tanya Taylor, MA, LPC I am a licensed professional counselor and parent coach committed to guiding children, teens, young adults, and families toward emotional well-being, resilience, and healthy relationships. I provide a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free space where clients of all ages can explore challenges, develop coping skills, and grow in confidence. I integrate evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, and I follow best practices in counseling to provide ethical, effective, and individualized care. For those who wish, I also incorporate faith-based principles to support spiritual growth alongside emotional healing. I specialize in helping families navigate parenting challenges, intergenerational dynamics, transitions, and the unique emotional needs of youth and young adults. Whether you are managing anxiety, stress, family conflict, or life transitions, my goal is to empower you and your loved ones with insight, resilience, and practical tools to create a balanced, meaningful, and thriving life.

My approach to therapy

I work with clients from a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and holistic therapeutic approach that integrates emotional, cognitive, behavioral, and spiritual wellness when appropriate to the client’s preference and values. My clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, life transitions, family dynamics, relationship challenges, and emotional regulation. I also specialize in working with youth, parents, and individuals navigating identity development, stress, and complex life circumstances. In sessions, I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and collaborative environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. I incorporate evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral strategies, solution-focused interventions, and coping skill development to help clients build practical tools for daily life. My goal is to support clients in gaining insight, strengthening resilience, and making meaningful changes that align with their personal goals, values, and overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a supportive and structured introduction focused on understanding their current concerns, history, and what brings them to therapy. We will begin building a clear picture of what they are experiencing and identify initial goals for treatment. Together, we will discuss what they would like to achieve in therapy—whether that includes symptom relief, improved coping skills, better emotional regulation, healthier relationships, or navigating a specific life transition. From there, we begin developing a personalized plan that reflects their needs, pace, and priorities. The environment is warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. My goal is to create a space where clients feel safe, respected, and comfortable sharing openly without fear of criticism. I focus on helping clients feel grounded and heard while also beginning to identify practical tools they can use between sessions. By the end of the first session, clients typically leave with greater clarity about the therapy process, initial goals, and a sense of direction for the work ahead.
