Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who believes therapy should be a supportive, collaborative space where you can speak openly, feel heard, and work toward meaningful change. I understand that reaching out for therapy can sometimes feel uncomfortable, especially when you are used to handling things on your own. My goal is to meet you where you are while helping you identify patterns, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools that can be used in everyday life. I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from a CACREP accredited program and have experience providing individual and group therapy, conducting clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, and working collaboratively with other behavioral health professionals. My professional background also includes many years of experience in the correctional field, which has given me a unique perspective on resilience, life transitions, personal responsibility, and the ability to change at any stage of life.

My approach to therapy

I work primarily with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship and family concerns, difficulty setting boundaries, stress, major life transitions, loneliness, and challenges related to motivation or feeling “stuck.” I also enjoy working with women who have spent much of their lives caring for others and are ready to begin focusing on their own emotional well-being. My approach incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused strategies, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and practical coping skills.

What you can expect from me

I believe therapy does not always have to feel clinical or intimidating. There is room for conversation, reflection, humor, and honesty while still doing meaningful work. Most importantly, I believe you can acknowledge what you have been through without allowing your past to determine what comes next. Therapy can be a place to better understand yourself, strengthen your confidence, and begin creating the life you want moving forward.
