Great to meet you!

Congratulations on taking the first step to your mental wellness journey. Thank you for taking me on the journey with you.

I am a compassionate therapist with over twenty years of experience. My specialization areas are: Mood disorders, trauma, domestic violence, and substance abuse.

I look forward to working with you to navigate through challenges and help you to embrace change. I truly believe that all pain is not physical and all wounds are not visible.

My approach to therapy

I conduct therapy sessions with warmth and openness, aiming to be authentic and to create a supportive environment where my clients feel comfortable. Building a positive rapport is essential, and it is my primary focus during the initial session and throughout our therapeutic relationship. In the beginning sessions, clients can expect psychoeducation and assessments that will assist me in determining the best course of treatment. I am well-versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and guide patients in understanding how their thoughts and feelings influence their behavior.

What you can expect from me

In my initial counseling sessions, I prioritize making the client feel comfortable while also providing informative guidance. I focus on establishing a positive rapport and helping the patient normalize the experience of working with a therapist. It’s important for me to connect with my patient in the first session to ensure they feel supported and validated. I also conduct necessary assessments that provide a baseline for the client. This allows both of us to track progress and helps guide the treatment process effectively.
