Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides online counseling for adults navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, chronic pain, relationship issues, OCD, ADHD, PTSD, adjustment difficulties, grief, and major life transitions. Many of the clients I work with feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck in painful patterns, or unsure how to move forward. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of South Florida in 2008 and became a Florida Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW #SW 11972) in 2016. I believe therapy should help you better understand what you are going through while also giving you practical tools to feel more stable, confident, and supported.

My approach to therapy

I use a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so I tailor my approach to each client’s needs, goals, and experiences. CBT can help you identify and change thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship issues, and stress, while mindfulness-based work can help you feel more grounded and better able to manage difficult emotions. Solution-focused therapy helps us build on your strengths and identify realistic next steps, and trauma-focused work can help you process painful experiences in a safe, structured way. My goal is to help you build coping skills, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful progress in everyday life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will complete a biopsychosocial assessment, but it will feel more like a conversation than an interview. We will talk about what is bringing you to therapy, whether that includes anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, relationship issues, trauma, adjustment difficulties, grief, or life stress. We will also explore important areas of your life such as relationships, family history, physical health, coping skills, and emotional well-being so I can better understand the full picture of what you are experiencing. My goal is to create a supportive, relaxed, and judgment-free space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. By the end of the session, I want you to feel heard, respected, and clearer about the next steps and how therapy can support your goals.
